Our Chef

 

An extremely versatile and creative Chef, Adam just loves to produce good honest food for guests to enjoy that special moment of family and friends around the table; and his cuisine speaks volumes for this commitment and drive. Adam, who hails from Somerset, originally studied Biochemistry, so his cooking career began in earnest whilst travelling after university.  He found that working in kitchens across the globe both funded his adventures whilst nurturing a clear inclination and skill for food and cooking.  Essentially self taught, he has learnt his trade from experience, be that cooking in a rustic, farm-style kitchen, at an award-winning fine dining restaurant, or working as a private chef to a large family; his desire, simply, to bring gastronomic pleasure to his diners.

Whilst mainly influenced by European cooking, Adam can put his hand to most food styles from around the world and will be happy to create a menu for you or to discuss what is required for your stay at Loyton Lodge. Every party will, of course, be different!  Chef approaches each menu with great integrity putting exceptional care and precision into crafting the final dish, always driven by his focus on flavour and the quality of produce sourced.  Seasonal, local, homemade - these are not mere buzzwords but are fundamental to Adam’s food and cooking practise.

The kitchen door is always open so be sure to come in and chat with the Chef about what he is cooking for you that day!
