Loyton provides a lovely environment for ‘getting creative’! We aim to host several exclusive workshop weekends through the year in collaboration with professional artists, writers and musicians; these are short courses in drawing, painting & printing, creative writing and music and are open to complete beginners or experienced practitioners, giving everyone the opportunity to develop and share their creative skills with like-minded people in a beautiful, pastoral setting.
Open to residents and non-residents, classes will usually begin on a Saturday morning and will include lunch, break-time refreshments and informal suppers with your fellow students and tutor.
LIFE DRAWING - Saturday 28 April - untaught session - SOLD OUT
We hold occasional life drawing sessions at Loyton, either in the double height dining room in Spring, or the tented studio set in verdant grounds during the summer months. These small group sessions are open to all, providing peaceful space to work on your life drawing skills.
Some sessions will be untaught, the emphasis upon shared learning and discussion, but you are free to work absolutely as you wish! Tutored sessions will usually be a one or two day event.
Our forthcoming date is already sold out, but if you are interested in joining these informal life drawing sessions, and to hear about similar classes in the area, please let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
