Lawrence grew up in Yorkshire and joined Loyton straight from university in Cirencester and is now in his eighth season. Coming from a family with a long tradition of hunting with hounds, Lawrence was interested in field sports from a young age – and his curiosity about the sector has never dwindled. He has witnessed Loyton's growth – in scale, sophistication, and ambition – and has grown alongside it, gaining a deep understanding of what goes into creating an exceptional day’s sport. What Lawrence loves most is Loyton’s ability to bring people together: landowners, beaters, picker-uppers, keepers and clients, characters from every walk of life. However extensive the operation becomes, he says, Loyton never loses its family feel. And he feels it’s this spirit of easy hospitality and genuine connection that keeps people coming back year after year.
