Born and bred on Exmoor, Nick has been immersed in country life from an early age. He grew up beating and shooting and started his keepering career aged 20. He first joined Angus and the Loyton team 10 years ago, working his way up from being a beat keeper to the head keeper at Miltons, one of the first and finest shoots on Exmoor.

Nick leads with hard work, passion and an ingrained knowledge of Exmoor. He believes a great shoot relies on outstanding teamwork, creating a positive undercurrent that feeds into all aspects of the sport. He fosters a unique family atmosphere and wants everyone – from the guns and their partners to the beaters and picker-uppers – to end the day with a smile.
