stewart mcintyre
management | estate manager
With a family history of gamekeeping, Stewart was inspired from a young age to pursue a career in field sports. He studied Game and Wildlife Management in Cumbria and learnt his trade on a commercial shoot in Newmarket before spending over fifteen years managing a large estate in East Anglia. While there, he earned national recognition for his holistic approach to sustainability, welfare and estate management: Stewart won a gold Purdey Award in 2024 for his outstanding success in improving habitats for biodiversity on the estate. Stewart was drawn to Loyton by the high standards of shooting, the extraordinary landscape and the overarching ethos of the operation. Stewart now oversees the estate management and sustainability across all of Loyton's sporting clubs: implementing best-practice welfare standards and managing habitats to ensure the land, wildlife and local communities are supported year-round. For him, every day is different, and every challenge is an opportunity to combine his expertise with his long-term vision and stewardship.
